Online Grant Classes

Online courses are multi-session courses providing detailed instruction in a variety of topics.

  • Multi-media materials (WebEx sessions, videos, PDFs) are all pre-recorded and will be made available for viewing on demand according to each courses session schedule.

  • Course participants will be invited to participate in an online discuss group, providing them with additional access to the instructor and the opportunity to interact with other course participants.

  • Some courses also include individual, 30 -60 minute consultations with the instructor to discuss your current projects or individual questions.

  • Participants will have online access to all course materials and recorded sessions for 6 months after the conclusion of the course.

Grant Writing 101

Grant Goddess University

This 12 session (5 week) course is designed for individuals who are new to grant writing or who want to get started with grant writing. For each session, readings, online resources, and instructor presentations will be supplemented by an online discussion group, allowing participants to interact with the instructor and with each other. In addition to course sessions, each participant will receive two 30-minute consultations with the instructor to review course assignments (grant proposals) and address more detailed individual issues. Core content sessions will be recorded and participants will have online access to the recordings for at least 6 months. All paid participants will also receive a copy of the instructor's book, 101 Tips for Aspiring Grant Writers. At the end of the course, participants who effectively completed at least 9 sessions (and corresponding quizzes) and at least one grant proposal will receive a certificate of completion and letter of reference. Registration will be limited to ensure that all participants receive individual attention.

Effective Data Collection and Program Evaluation for Non-Profit Organizations

This 5 session course is designed for non-profit administrators responsible for documenting the effectiveness of organizational programs. This may be the Executive Director who is charged with reporting to the board, or any other manager completing evaluation reports for grant funders or developing annual reports for stakeholders and donors. The course will include instruction in the basics of program evaluation and data collection, survey development, data analysis, and report development.
